Özgür started his dancing career in 1998 with Latin American Dances. Valuable 2 years in Latin American Dances improved his body awareness and understanding for couple dances. He met with Tango Argentino in the year of 2000 during his university degree.
He got inspired by the excellence and culture of Tango Music and started to work with World known Tango Masters for his Tango education in different styles, Tango Salon, Tango Nuevo and Tango Scenario.
He has been actively teaching and performing Tango all over the world since 7 years. He has participated in various Tango Festivals, Marathons and Stage Performances including Istanbul Tango Week, Tango La Queen Freiburg City Theatre, Tango X Festspielhaus St. Pölten (2009 and 2010), Workshops in different cities (Bs. As., Istanbul, Munich, Prague, Strasbourg, Wien, Nürnberg, Freiburg, Bern, Eskisehir), and many of other Tango events.
"In my dance i look for the elegance and intimacy of traditional tango, and the freedom of new tango to create the ultimate fusion; I believe in creating the unity with my partner to catch the real joy in Tango. I dance, enjoy and share my love. I feel my Tango is growing from day to day by sharing it with my students and other dancers.” He says.
His dance style is a unique fusion of traditional Tango and new vibrations of Tango, he represents an impressive musicality and partner connection with clear technique in Tango World. His Tango philosophy has been spreading around by his students all over the world since he started teaching.
